Comprised of only 34 seats, the acclaimed chef’s first self-titled restaurant is an exceptional exercise in sheer pleasure – and yes, booking is absolutely essential.

Our menus are priced at £215 for eight courses, £145 for our short dinner menu and Saturday five course lunch menu is £145.
Alex Dilling’s signature dish Hunter Chicken is always available on request even if not featured on the menu.
Wine pairings are available from £145 – £495 per person.

About Alex dilling
London born Alex Dilling discovered his fond admiration for food from a young age. Discovering various techniques and products throughout travel, Alex developed a curious and passionate palate from devouring the comforts of European cuisine.
His culinary journey began under the legacy of Alain Ducasse at Adour in New York. Mentored and guided by the esteemed Didier Elena and Tony Esnault, Alex and his team attained two Michelin stars in early 2012. Progressing through to the crown jewel of caviar restaurants, Caviar Russe, Alex founded his love for caviar of which remains to this day to be one of his most celebrated ingredients.
After returning to to the UK, Alex joined Helene Darroze and closely alongside Helene, led the culinary team as Executive Corporate Chef, assisting in the operational maintenance of the elite two Michelin stars between London and Paris. Alex continued to inspire and elevate the food scene in London with his curations at The Greenhouse, attracting an international crowd, who travelled the world to experience and endeavour the wonders of his luxurious menus.
About Alex Dilling at Hotel Cafe Royal Alex’s first standalone restaurant opened on the 1st Floor of Hotel Cafe Royal – overlooking Regent Street – on 1st September 2022. The restaurant will see Alex deliver the finest ingredients taking inspiration from French classics.

This is the very best catering to your specification – whether that is elaborate fine dining catering for an intimate gathering at home or for a large wedding overseas. Conversely, chef Alex Dilling will create a bespoke menu for your favourite / dream menu – whether that’s a pork belly roast lunch for 100 guests or fried chicken topped with caviar, or a drinks and canapés reception we are happy to discuss your requirements.

5 Puffins Gin
Chef Alex Dilling’s spirit of choice is gin – taking his attention to detail for recipe development and matching perfumed scents he has created the ultimate smooth, argin. A gin that can be sipped, served on the rocks, a gin that you don’t ‘have’ to garnish, though is served perfectly with tonic and a piece of citrus.

Exclusive hire and events are available outside of these times and we have private dining facilities with room sizes ranging from 6 – 150 guests.
